DO NOT drill out the restriction! Besides being the hard way to do it, you run the chance of getting metal shavings and/or contaminants in the clutch hydrallic system. Once upon a time on one of the forums, someone posted a nice DIY on how to disassemble and remove the restrictor collar from a cdv unit. Be careful on reassembly not to damage the seat surfaces.ZetaTre said:Drilling the existing CDV is a third option. Connecting the two lines (before and after the CDV) might put stress on them and have them break; additionally if your car is still under warranty they can blame the absence of the CDV to deny the repair. Drilling would be problematic because the holes size is not standard (the bit would either be too small or too big) and you might leave residues behind.
I bought the one from Zeckhausen

In a word....Yes. The hardest part was welding up all the access holes I had to cut with the hacksaw and die grinderZetaTre said:So you DID manage to modify mine?

How much do you think an independent garage would charge to fit this for me?
