For the cash I would be interested to compare it against a TT-RS or perhaps a second hand R8 whose values have firmed.

Trying to minimise my monthly finance payments.

lux said:Yeh you might be right Tim. I had £4500 of equity left in mine but I didn't go stupidly low on the monthly payments on purpose.
I hope the Cayman will hold its price, but who is going want a car that can't pull the skin off a rice pudding!?

Tim. Wow, so there's an M140i on the horizon. Got a lot to live up to given it's remarkable predecessor which I believe you still own![]()
Just seen a few Porsche dealerships giving £2k contributions which isn't exactly generous but may cover the cost of the PDK :|
Hope the economic downturn goes in my favour![]()

Hey that's pretty good and you raise a valid point about resale values. I've decided to have a go at selling my 35is (a 63 plate) privately at first hoping it will bolster my deposit towards the Cayman.
I was looking at the M4 initially but having done a test drive and driven one at Brands I was left feeling a little empty. Great car but something missing.... on the other hand the Cayman was a revelation in nearly every aspect. If I could stretch to a Carrera I would but sadly not that wealthy!

Have you scratched the itch in terms of open top motoring now?
I love grey cars, they're stylish and classy looking and look awesome when clean. Blue is doing the rounds at the moment as the 'new silver' so it depends on how long you want to keep the car for. Red Porsche's always look good though.
I look forward to reading more about this when others comment!
