Cats?

Hi all,

Been away for a week and ofcourse had to give the car a once over on my return as its parked on the street. Never had this problem before so I started to look around the usualy spots bumpers etc etc. but then a shiney pice of copper caught my eye. It was what was left of my Mangowalk Stubby it had been chewed to bits and ofcourse the bootlid was scratched.

Now due the Wheelie bin topic in recent news reports I'd rather not say what I'd like to do to the local four legged population, but would really appreciate any advice on how to keep the buggers off my car.

cheers.

Cat don't always chew rubber or plastic (my house rabbits do). I think it was just 1 off incident. You can buy an electronic cat deterrent device. Someone had a topic about this before.

Strangely a guy at work bought one of these cat deterrents, but what a noise it gives out!

And as said, i am not sure why a cat would have chewed it, unless someone rubbed fish on it :D Perhaps its made of cat mango

I think your Mangowalk stubby could be chewed by a big rat. Rats can jump and chew anything. Don't blame the cats. :)

A shotgun !,where i live just about everyone has a cat so plagued by them, so had them on the roof but i didn't see them but according to the GF they were making themselves very cosy there if i'd have seen them they would have got six lace holes up their jacksy. But what was funny one of the neighbours knocked at the door and asked if the paint brush he had in his hand was mine and it was, the cat had taken it out of the garage and was found licking the brush which i had used to treat the fence :o .Me and the GF are animal lovers but we both hate cats with a vengance.

Defo cats paw marks everywhere, thanks for all the suggestions, oh where can one get a mangowalk stubby for a tenner, forgive not a chance. its war.

They are a gen VW part, but sold for £7 delivered on ebay. Just put Z4 aerial, and its the one with the tape measure next to it. And then says about the VW sharan or something :D

find the cat and kill it ! i defo am buying a great dane and teaching it to walk over cars if cats can then why not my dog pissed off with cat owners taking nil responsibility for their animal you buy a dog pay a fee pick up its poo but oh no its a cat how can i be held responsible for it !!!! well sorry its a feral animal i.e. unlicensed run it over you dont even have to stop ( and i wouldnt ) f.. ing hate the things sorry rant over i just feel if you are going to own/take care of an animal then you do have a responsibility to your neighbourhood

Isolate the aerial from the car and connect it to the mains supply then sit back wait and enjoy.......

Cats by law have the right to roam, Why? probabaly because they have a much higher intelligence level than dogs and probably because they help to keep down the vermin. Normally a cat will bury it's own mess and genrally only fail to do this if they are disturbed. I have NEVER stood in cat mess, I have however lost count of the amount of times I have stood in Dogs mess. Don't get me wrong I don't have anything against dogs except there incesant barking because there master has left them for the day because they are so dumb they can't look after themselves.

Nice puddys Taz

for all you cat lovers do you think you'd be so forgiving when some cat destroys your paint work, and this rubbish about being more intelligent than dogs? so because they can't be trained like a dog makes them more intelligent? well if that were a human they'd be illiterate, unemployed and a burden to society or worse a lunatic. Dogs do it because they love you and want to please you and make you happy, your cats don't love you.
