Cat shot with air rifle - FFS

Yes I do as there is a leash law for cats. Cats are NOT wild animals and should therefore be INSIDE the house. As to rabies, we DO and it's dangerous to let your DOMESTICATED animal roam.

Besides, if your cat is damaging MY car, you are liable.

Haven't disagreed with a statement on here as much as I do this one

Must be different in the UK? It's extremely rare to find a cat that stays in the house all the time here.
Mine doesn't venture any further than the garden or driveway though but it's more than big enough for him.

Guess that is one of the differences on different sides of the pond! Our cats are free to roam but they are never far away when we call them... If we do try and keep them in for more than a day or so they get very grumpy and escape at the first oppurtunity!

Dave and Thomas both look lovely :D

Excellent. Really glad I don't live in the states then.

If you let your pets roam, I am, too.

HSUS- "Keep your cat indoors. Keeping your cat safely confined at all times is best for you, your pet, and your community."

Oh, and my cat has never been grumpy about not going outside since he's never been. He has also not been de-clawed but has been neutered.

  I've got this brilliant image of people walking up and down the 'sidewalk' with cats on leashes! Is there a cat whisperer? I'd love to see a tiny Mexican rollerblading behind a pack of cats.

LMAO   im sure there is, that big lump over the pond is full of weird and wonderful jobs

smokin, take a pic of a cat on a leash. i bet it doesnt look happy

Actually, I have a friend with a very large Persian cat who calmly walks on a leash. They take him everywhere with them.

If you cat won't, it means it was never properly trained as a kitten. Cats are much smarter and more trainable than you give them credit for.

Right, so we're agreed then.

It's my friend's fault someone shot his cat in the face because:

1. He didn't train it right.
2. It was off the leash.
3. It was on someone else's property.

I'll tell him.

i would also warn him in the future not to go looking into the barrel of some 4rse holes rifle. just incase the person pulling the trigger wasnt willing to take responsibility

I said it was as much his fault as the asshole who shot the cat. I didn't say it was totally his responsibility. Was the cat, indeed, on someone else's property?????????? If so they were BOTH at fault.

We will agree to disagree. Perhaps we take the *responsibility* of ownership a bit more seriously?

Who knows??????????????????????????????????????????????????????

It came back with a pellet in its skull, no-one saw whose property it happened on.

Given that we are allowed to let our cats roam... how would we stop them going on other people's property without being cruel to the animal?

Theres somr right morons about,

To me does not matter which side the pond,,, someone shoots my cat, i find them and break their f***ing arms, simple,

Utterly shocking, i hope they find the mindless arseholes...

And as for people in the states keeping cats indoors, thats shocking (cruel!?)!! Arent they even allowed in a garden, i suppose they'd vault a fence pretty easily... That means they dont bring in their 'presents' for their owners!! :O

My old cat got shot 3 times by the same person, and they tried to poison one of them. Now he has Parkinson’s disease... what a shame. (sorry if that offends)

I guess you get what you deserve, people like that should be strung up by their balls

what goes around,comes around,,,

 I have a direct debit with the RSPCA where i donate money to them every month and people do things like this!! :headbang: God it makes me so mad and upset :(

He wants shooting in the head with a rifle too. I'd gladly do it myself. One thing i cannot stand is animal cruelty.

x4,,,
