Hi all.
A message from my wife (Cathy)
I am going to be canoeing down the Zambezi river for Cats Protection because I want to help raise vital funds for cats in care.

Two year old Billy was brought to Cats Protection in a terrible state. Billy had been shot with an airgun seven times in a cruel and vicious attack. He was then left alone, in agony, fighting for his life. Luckily a passer-by found Billy and rushed him to a local vet for emergency treatment. Once the vet had removed the pellets and stabilised Billy's condition, he was transferred to Cats Protection for ongoing treatment and care.
Billy's eyesight was severely affected by the attack. One eye had to be removed as it had been perforated by a pellet, while the other was so badly damaged that he can only see shadows through it. Understandably Billy was very nervous around people at first. But with a lot of time and care from our staff and volunteers at Cats Protection, Billy survived his ordeal and slowly began to trust again.
One of the staff who helped Billy was so fond of the little chap that she decided to adopt him when he was ready to leave Cats Protection. You will be pleased to hear that Billy is now thoroughly enjoying his new life in a safe and loving home.
We can only help cats like Billy with your support.
