I have to press the PDC button for the front to activate if I have not selected reverse

Hi, what o mean is after going into reverse, then back into drive then Android auto comes back on. Before ethe MMI was installed the pdc graphic would stay on the screen for a while after going from reverse to drive.

I don't think it's a big issue as I think the front sensors will still be audible, just nothing on the screen.

I understand now. Mine was doing this so set the settings to this. Now works as before

guys, unfortunately I have to report experiencing the same glitching issues with the mr12volt blue DSP box. After having a first longer ride with it, when reaching the destination and reversing, when PDC showed up, the screen was glitching as crazy.

Any luck solving your glitching issue?

Could those that have fitted these to their cars offer some advice please? I've ordered my kit and as it is the new one it will include the y splitter for the OEM mic. Does this plug into the back of the microphone or does the mic connection have to come from the back of the HU?

It goes into the mic on the steering column

There is a sticker on the box covering the old mic port. Do not use this. Then plug the jack into the connection on the harness.

Yes it does but the whole installation should take no more than an hour if you fit it under and behind the centre console accessible from the drivers foot well. About 4-5 screws. I left the usb cable available if needed too.

Although it wasn't included with my earlier box, I did show my made up version, that, surprisingly, is exactly the same as the new one. So it's as per my video

I fitted it today and it was a bit of a faff trying to get it all behind the CIC box and getting around the auto lever.

I ended up with the MMI box on top of the glove box and eventually managed to get it all in. The mic connector under the cowling is a big as it has zero slack and is very small and tucked right back, my sausage hands struggled!

But so far so good, just need to check my SW is up to date.

I took it on a road trip and it held up well, only bug seems to be a high pitch noise occasionally on startup, fixed by switching to radio and back to CD not sure what causes it.

Hmmm, interesting :?
Not sure what would cause this. If I remember it's not an amplified system, so that removes an issue with the amplifier. Could be some issue with the headunit, but if it's not too much of a problem then I'd live with it.

Is this an add on that replaces the dash storage compartment. I did find that I have the MOST system and the cd changer wire in the glove box. I do not have a digital screen. I would love to have car play and navigation.

No I'm sorry but this is only for vehicles that already have the factory screen (or unless you want to retrofit that as well!). The other option would be to fit an Android Touchscreen.
