i take it your all turning off the dsc thingymabob as all i get is a little bit of an arse twitch from the car and a kill of the power.... bugger all sliding and its not like i dont try here and there on the roundabout outside work .... i have to be really careful getting into the westy after driving the z as i tend to merrily hang it into a corner and then realise the only thing holding me to the road is a bit of mechanical grip and my arse clentching

Firstly, thepits you were not included in my pronouncement 
Secondly, domsz4 is talking about the DTC button I assume... So pressing it once will give a little more slip, actually designed for driving in low traction situations. Holding it will turn the traction control all off, and so it will slide more. Though the OP has an M which gives a lot more sideways even with DSC on because of the limited slip diff. Though don't ask me to explain it technically...

One day when I'm feeling like a bit of public ridicule, I'll post a track day video from the summer of me in my Westy showing what happens when R888s reach the limit of their dry mechanical grip and you don't clench your arse tightly enough
