Carbon leather interior

OK I'm probably falling into a trap here as a relative newbie. I'm aware the likelihood of this is slim, but does anyone have the dash, center console and light switch surround carbon leather trim from a z4m they would consider selling?

You could still buy them from the dealers last year but not cheap. Have you thought about good alternatives such as hydro dipping etc which looks very good for £140 compared to approx £900 for the real thing?

I have. Although I don't want a shiny carbon look. The carbon leather is what I really want, that matte finish with a slight soft touch. I've been looking for a while in the usual places but thought I'd ask here before getting abused by BMW

Best I’ve got is a set of piano black trim.
This is my reserve option. I have black interior and brushed alu trims. If I can't get carbon leather and don't decide to be violated by BMW directly, I may well consider this. What sort of condition is it? I'm wary the gloss finish gets scratched easy, and I'm not interested in looking at damaged trims inside. There's a set on ebay with a big chunk out the passengers side for about £110 or so. That sort of price is appealing when considering the cost of carbon leather trims. But not for damaged goods.

If you’re up for a bit of diy you can buy leather panels on eBay ready cut/sewn for the E85/6 dash and centre console in black leather.

You can have a hydro dipped finished in Matt which is what I had done and in my view is better than gloss. Like you I wanted the OEM look but couldn’t find a mint condition set and wasn’t prepared to buy new. I think it’s a good compromise especially as I had a wood interior in an M car which did not look good.

You can also buy the carbon leather if you know a trimmer. Probably dam sight cheaper than bmw

I've seen these but don't fancy the gluing. Never get a great finish and I'm a stickler for clean edges.
I wasn't aware I could get the carbon leather fabric though. This is an interesting option.

Do you have any pics of this? I wasn't aware of a matte finish. Always see hydro dips come out shiny. Any recommendations for places too? The brushed alu might not take well to dipping though? As there's a slight grain to the metal.
No idea why wood trim was even an option.

I used a place in Peterborough, any hydro dipping service should offer both Matt and gloss, however the automatic choice is usually gloss, so just ask for a Matt finish instead.

They normally paint items first before hydrodipping so would iron out the grain.

There are many suppliers if you look online. You'll need to buy a whole hide though. Just get a sample to confirm its the same though before ordering.

I've just seen your e89 trim sale thread and posted there. But just in case, I'll reply again here, I'd definitely be up for that matte finish. Is this something you could do?

I can do it, just sent you a reply on the other thread.

CF-print leather isn't cheap to buy. There's also no guarantee that it'll be the exact same finish as BMW used from the factory. But, as others have said, it's likely to work out cheaper than buying secondhand M panels (or worse, brand new ones!) and there's also the added plus that the leather will be brand new, rather than 15ish years old.
