Carbon Filter Canister/Ventilation - Temp. Removal

One item I need to move to complete my exhaust project is the carbon filter/tank ventilation unit. Took it all off this morning and have it lying on the bench ready to go back later.

Once the new back boxes are on I will be able to relocate it in a large void in the centre between the 2 backboxes, currently part occupied by the single large back box.

The canister has 3 pipes marked 'Tank' 'Air' and 'Purge'.
'Air' does that and vents to air up inside the wing.
'Tank' goes to the top of the petrol tank and 'purge' feeds all the way to the manifold area. so assume it's a vacuum.

So my question is while I do the swap and drive around for a week or so, what are thoughts on leaving the 'tank' open to air (perhaps part restricted, but to allow the tank to breath)
Plug the 'purge' line and remove the 'air' pipe (which is just a lenght of tube now)

Can anyone see any issues with doing this?

You will need some sort of tank vent, but I wonder if you will set off a "check engine" warning if the restriction is not right (i.e.; like driving off with your gass cap open)? Could you rig up some sort of temporary mount for the canister, possibly with some long flex hoses to allow you to stuff it in some out of the way location?

Agree re the tank vent and have rigged something up to allow it to breathe, but not the full open pipe width.

I assume If I set a 'check' light I can make some more alterations, but I could not find a suitable temporary location as there's not much space at the rear of the Zed and withing doable pipe runs.

pvr - yes I def have to use the car. It will be Tuesday when the floor is plated and the earliest exhaust fit date is the following week.
