Carbon Fiber Rollbar Hoops

I thought I would post these rollbar hoop covers I installed. I think they look great and they just snap on if you want to go back to stock. I got them from Tekarbon for $250.00,which I thought was pretty cheap. They have factory model numbers on back and they just cover the original part with carbon fiber at the factory-they do replace the original part. I am not looking for opinions on how they look,my last post got kind of heated with negative comments-I just put them on here for other members to see if they would like to do them on their cars.20221113_082901.jpg

I don't think it got 'heated' at all.
You asked for opinions and that's what you got. No-one was rude.
Those who didn't like it simply agreed it was your choice, not theirs.

FWIW I like the roll hoops.

I'm definitely going to do the same and get carbon roll hoop covers. I hate the OEM brushed silver ones - I think they look cheap as hell. I've seen other folks painting them gloss black which I think looks really good too.

Don't worry about opinions, everyone on here has em, and I think some people are pretty rude with it. It's different strokes for different folks. Do what you want with your car, mate. And keep sharing! Plenty of us on here who appreciate seeing what people do with their cars.

I had my rollbars and mirrors painted black to match the bodywork. And the front splitters and the US wing reflectors too. I find too many different colours and patterns mess with the car.

The box you see in the above pic is one of my speakers. This picture shows my heater,in front of the speaker.20181004_081115.jpg

Nice! That's what they did with mine. I would like to try doing that someday,I would like to cover the center silver bezel surrounding the shifter. Is it hard to work with?

It depends what you mean by hard. Its not a simple quick job and due to the individual processes it takes 4 or 5 days to complete every part (unless you do them all at once)
I had never done it before but watched and read a lot before jumping in.
You just have to be careful when handling the carbon cloth so not to pull it out of shape and follow all the steps to the letter.
The roll hoops were the hardest parts I skinned due to the curves after doing the rest of the interior trim.

I have a kit I bought years ago from I believe CarbonMods,I may give it a go on the center console, that's where I have the most wear.

[ref]spitfun[/ref], Stunning garage, from the first picture i thought it was commercial premises.

Most excellent

Thanks for the compliments,I had that added a few years back... It is 40 ft. deep, so I can get 3 cars in there with the lift...

Carbon roll hoops looking good, I’m wondering if @dave2dogs can hydro dip these?

Fantastic garage set up, and nice choice of vehicles

Love the hoops . As beardy Jon says .don’t worry about what people say . If you put up things on here, you will be open to opinion. Some will agree. Some won’t . It’s just a case of taking the 👎with the 👍 I’ve done enough mods to know that . Everyone is entitled to their opinion and for me . Putting things on here is always interesting to see everyone’s opinion, good or bad . As said above
Keep posting…. It’s what this is all about.

Are the hoop covers made of carbon fibre, please?
If they are the same as mine it is a process called carbon skinning which uses the original parts with carbon fibre cloth laid over the top with multiple layers of clear epoxy resin that is finally polished after flattening. They can be lacquered too.
