Respraying a boot lid is less intricate than a rear bumper, were the scratches on a flat plain of the boot too? with this being on the edge it will take longer to make a good job, which is a reason why it will be a bit more expensive.

I just caught a wall parking at my mum and dads (ironically trying to tuck it out of my mums reversing path)

Dents 8 did a perfect job, had the Carr all day on a Saturday, spoke to the manager and got the job repaired for £181 cash. They pulled the wing back into shape and filled the dent at the front, rubbed the bumper down, painted around a 3rd of the bumper and the wing so all blended in.

You can't tell there was ever any damage now, very happy.

My mate was a BMW paint sprayer for years and can spot a s**t job a mile off (he nearly got sacked once when a customer asked him his opinion on a repair one of his colleagues had done and he told him straight) and he thinks dents 8 did a top job!
 
Wow - £181 seems a good price given you've damaged two separate panels.

Hi Mah, feel for you. Is annoying when other people don't take more care when there isnt enough room to open doors and then cause damage!

I think you could get a respray for cheaper private. £300 seems quite high but as some posters, as you have seen the work quality, could be worth it if you definitely prefer a respray. I had my front bumper resprayed for less than that. Privately at someone recommended to me by a friend. Quality is brilliant. Bonus to respray was stonechips also got removed but guess that doesn't apply as much with the rear. Happy to pass you the details, where are you based?

Nigh on 200 miles north of you. :lol: Thanks for the offer though.

I'm in north Cheshire, so any recommendations within and around the area would be welcome. :)

Two days ago my wife came home from a shopping trip with her Mum, and told me how her Mum had wedged herself into a tight space between two cars (when most the car park was empty). Apparently when Mrs Eds asked why she'd picked such a difficult spot, she said "don't you think it's always nicer to park next to someone" as if it's some sort of friendly gesture. Having some of my many rants in the back of her mind Mrs Eds relayed back to me when she got home this explanation for what I consider irrational behaviour !

My mother did the same, always parked next to someone as it helped her "line the car up" ... must be a senior thing :roll:

They have various 'mobile' repairers from what I can gather, but also have two bricks and mortar bodyshops... one in Bolton and one in Dundee.
