Can’t decide on colour, White or Grey?

I have white z, and it was almost must for me. I sure like white leather and anything over it is just that red leather. White on white might be just too much white still. White with red interior would be dream though 8)

The Car park at work is full of shiny new White cars. Don't do it, common as starlings and a pig to keep clean. :o

Go metallic Grey, almost as common, but so much easier to keep looking clean. 8)

There’s not many white z4’s, they’re all grey :poke:

I rest my case M lord.

Silver is a good colour to hide dirt. I had a titanium silver X1 and only washed it about twice in the year I had it and you really wouldn’t know.

Well at the minute it’s still up for debate, haven’t managed to view either of them! 35i/35is owners seem to be reluctant to actually sell even after agreeing on a price etc, MEH maybe a lower mileage Red one will turn up

I've never understood grey, black, silver etc in cars, especially in dark, rain soaked countries. They just blend into the road and don't stand out at all. Also hard for everyone else to see. Enter the bright shiny and clean white Z4! Like a beacon in the darkness, just keep it clean and it will look great. As for the white interior......yeah, not a fan, but don't think that red hides the dirt. If the white annoys you then tone the cabin down with dark seat covers maybe. Just a thought. My vote is white, and stand out from the crowd.

Okay then, people are seeing the light. Silver was big here 10 or 15 years ago in the general car population and white does seem more popular here as well. We've always avoided black or dark cars because they are hard to keep clean and look good, plus the visibility issue. I think one big difference is we get a lot of dust, you guys get a lot of mud. Plus there is the feeling that the dark cars are hotter in the sun.

These day colour choices on cars are very limited and it seems most people choose white black grey or perhaps dark blue.... wait aren't most Z4s in these colours? White does not stand out from the crowd as it is one of the popular colours. It's a shame these days manufacturers don't have a wider choice of colour palette when buying a new car, just a take a look at the new BMWs hardly any greens reds blues yellows etc. if you want a 'colour' you end up having to pay through the nose for an Individual option! As for the Z4 I my first preference would have been Melbourne Red, had it on my F20 and it is an absolutely gorgeous colour and one that definitely stands out from the crowd and suits the Z4 really well. It is a shame that there are hardly any 30is in this colour so I ended up with Black!

When I sold new cars and we would never order in certain colours for stock as they would stick (greens especially), even taking in part exchanges colour could be a deciding factor on how much we gave as we knew it wouldn't be popular if retailed or it went to auction. I chose alpine white because funny enough its easy to maintain and after 10 years its still looking good, so what I have to wash it more regularly. :)

This is true, when I was selling second hand cars a few years ago I bought a green E Class because it was very cheap thinking someone will have it and I learned what a mistake that was when it took over a year to sell! Avoided green like the plague after that. Unfortunately I think most people are boring when it comes to colours, this extends even to clothes too just look at what's in the stores in the UK mostly just blacks greys and white and a bit of blue, here in Spain at least you get more colour choices in clothes but for cars it's the same as UK a very monotone colour palette. Funnily a few years back white was also a colour to be avoided unless it was on something sporty.

I love my dark grey with the red interior. On an overcast day or bright sunny day, she always looks classy and sharp. Ultimately you can’t go wrong if it’s a z4
