Running a four-pot no longer look stupid does it. :driving:

39mpg long term, insurance around £200 per annum with 10k miles p.a. spec'd, cheap-as-chips servicing on a 3-series platform, just replaced the last two original tyres at 39,000 miles and apart from cheap servicing, its only cost me a new battery in five years from new.

And I've had more fun than you can shake a stick at

The thought of having to go back to something like a 123d (my previous car) fills me with horror. Unlike previous posters the car would be one of the last things i'd cut. Mobile phones, sky subscription, clothes, food, stuff like that would get the chop first

awesome :)

Was thinking of selling mine, just spent a bomb in the last few months on servicing, pads, disk, 02 sensor, tyres and MOT..... there is no way im selling now. wouldve been better off selling 6 months ago without bringing it back to perfect (for the age). That said i bought back in 2008 when the car had lost £26k in the first 22 months, for a long time the car was worth at least what i paid for it. The drop in the last 10 months appears to be meteoric, i expected the MC to hold its value better due to rarity value and the fact it looks far better than the roadster ;-)

It's only losing so much because there are lots of desperate sellers and not many buyers. At least ours are rare, E92 owners are in for it worse than us.

I admire your sentiments! Why bother, springs to mind though!

If you can, you can, if you can't leave well alone!

I have only recently joined this site, having bought my Alpine white z4mc 08 as xmas present last year ,now having read all about how much they have dropped i daren't tell the missus(thought that aswell as it being my dream car,Due to high spec and rare colour ) that i wight have had a collectable.DOH :o

LOL .Been an expensive purchase for me.Had to buy her a new Nissan Qashqai in order to convince her that the time was right to fullfill my dream and finally buy one. Then had to wait seven months to get the white one with my spec.
Think your right wont tell her about this site. :D

It's no good worrying, we can't do anything about it personally, just enjoy and as previous post have said it's only a problem when you sell, perhaps we should have a consortium that agrees the lowest price An ///M can sell for, there's probably a law against that though

...probably because I don't need to show the world what a huge cock I've got..... :poke:

..or more realistically, if we assume you drive a car legally on our congested roads and don't do track days regularly, whats the point in anything else? :?

Lets not have "this version is better than that version" please. People choose their model based on their own needs and circumstances.

What if I have a huge cock, drive like a cock on congested roads, and like to cock around on the track on a regular basis? :poke:

I said I thought the coupes may end up cheaper than the roadsters earlier in the thread. I was basing that on the elderly sports car market. MG and E-type in particular.

For those of you that were a trifle piqued I agree that it doesn't seem credible, the coupe is the better looking vehicle. Still, the prices achieved favour the roadster.

No insult to your cars was intended.

And the 2.0 engine suits a daily driver better than the 3.0 even if it doesn't infer a humongous penis - IMO.

with reference to old vehicles like mgs, does anybody know what sort of ratios were produced between roadsters and coupes?

i think the coupe will be valued more not on looks (although it is better looking :) )but on its rarity - only time will tell

Bad argument to pick Taz IMHO; don't know about numbers but the MG roadster is far more expensive and coveted than the coupe. In the long run, roadsters of any marque tend to be the more desirable option for obvious reasons. I'm sure there are exceptions in the stratosphere, but not sure the Z-Coop is up there?

Never have I been so insulted!
