Well I built my own AUX in cable following the guide on the how to section. I was happy with my cable, it looks neat and I also incorporated a screening layer before wrapping it in tape.
However I then spent 2 hours trying to remove the damn central grill to get access to the stero. After 2 hours with various tools and even rigid wires I gave up as I was getting frustrated.
I have come to the conclusion that either my Z4 was built wrong, or somebody has been messing with the head unit in the past. My reasoning for this is simple. The metal tabs are not visible within the holes, in all of the guides it says to prize the tabs down, but I cannot even find the front of the tab, its like the vents have been pushed back to far so the tabs have overshot.

Watched that video and it got me even more annoyed, I have to angle my screwdriver at nearly vertical just to get into the tab location!
Anyone else had real problems with this? was hoping to get it fitted before my 3 week euro trip... but not looking promising :|
