Can anyone give me a ride in a 3.0i Z4??

Right then, I'm out of the country all next week with work. If you don't find a volunteer and you don't mind a variation on a theme, pm me and we'll sort something for the following week. I regularly call into Bracknell so Woking is only a short run from there.

For the variation on a theme, look at my sig :)

I rang BMW and the first thing they asked was what price was I looking at, I said 6-7max and they said the only way you can get one for that price is to go private. Conversation kind of ended there.

Thanks for the offer I will be in touch if I don't etc s ride between now and when you're back.

This morning I drove around the area with the OP in the passenger seat of my 3.0i E85. I can confirm that he didn't try to steal my car or touch me inappropriately, a genuinely decent bloke looking to buy a Z4.

Joe, good luck with the search for your Zed, and welcome to the party!

Faith in humanity restored. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Out of interst how did you find the passanger ride Joe? I know it's down on power compared to your Seat but it's a completely different animal designed to handle it's power and then some. Interesting to know what you thought.

Might be an idea to look for one at an Indy garage near you and go for a test drive behind the wheel. I did that out of curiosity before settling on a Boxster and ended up driving away in the thing

Lol!

The ride was enjoyable, I'm trying to get away from the chav tag the small three door hatchbacks (with exhaust - performance or otherwise) carry with them. I'm trying to look at this car in a different light, I know it's not going to be a powerhouse but I accept that. I can feel, even as standard the Z4 handles so much better than mine and I've spend thousands on suspension. Its not slow by any means, however. I like the immediate response of it and the 6cyl engine purs beautifully.

For what I need a car for it far outweighs the Cupra I currently own. I wish I had enough money to keep the Ibiza as a track toy. At the moment it's head vs heart situation and I know that the Z4 has a much better perception to it, in terms of owner... I work in an office and get some stupid and sometimes disapproving looks from other colleagues who don't appreciate what I have done to the car. I kind of need to move on from that IMO.

I think it will happen but it's a case of when :)

If you're a serious modder, talk to Beedub about Superchargers and exdos (and Beedub again, plus others) about suspension... ;) 500bhp alright for you sir?

So I've now been out in a 3.0i auto and manual. I definitely want a manual, but that's just personal preference. I think I've also decided that I want the satnav (although I'm not fussed about the satnav feature, it's more so that I can have the screen to display stereo/ parking sensors etc)

Yesterday Chris (Crispyme) took me out in his Zed and that was a great experience, they handle so well. He even let me have a drive, although I was apprehensive it was exactly what I needed - to give it a go myself.

I have my mind set now I just need to shift my car and find the right example.
