As has been said before, sure I'd love a 3.0 but i drive 25 miles a day through mostly 30-40 MPH zones, then a couple of miles blast on a national limit, dont hold back with my right foot and am currently showing 36.2 MPG over 500-odd miles, and thats with no motorway cruising at all.
So for me, the combination of great economy and enough power for 95% of the time it's a no-brainer until I get that £10k payrise that's not gonna happen any time soon
If your having to drive your 2.0L that hard to achieve the speed you want you may not saving that much in terms of fuel compared to a larger motor eg 2.5si
I know your not supposed to go fast from cold and all that old pony but I simply cant help it.
