I took a mate who is a lead tech at a bucks based m and alpina specialist and we gave it a good once over. Needs an insp 2 and front tyres but otherwise very straight

Welcome - interesting move to go FROM the 779 3RS to a Z4MC; I'd always assumed the logical step was the other way around!! Certainly it's a progression I've always dreamt of (come on lottery winnnn!!)

Very interested in your thoughts on the Z4 vs 3RS as above! Aside from that I hope you enjoy the Z4 ownership experience :)

Also yeah welcome to the ridiculousness of the road tax.... and the even greater ridiculousness of the fact that despite the tax bracket and percieved emissions, they're still somehow ULEZ compliant....?!

Also, out of interest but are you talking about Swift Performance here?

nope but i know tim and russ very well and couldnt say enough good things about them. not sure they would say the same about me given the number of annoying texts they get from me. theyve looked after all my bwms / alpinas for about 13 years.

LOL and yep they look after my E46 M3.

Why did you make the switch from 997.1 GT3 CS to Z4M Coupe though? As indicated by @Ed Doe, it is usually the other way around?
 
had it 5 years put about 2k miles on it. my boys are getting older and i want to spend more time doing stuff with them and we are all into bikes so plan is to free up funds from the sale and direct towards buying a van and an mx bike and having a big slush fund for bike related stuff

ive always had a pork of some description but it was too much of a trophy whereas now i need something i can use and abuse in anger if i choose to without feeling bad if i bend or break it

i may choose to get another pork next year alongside the z4mc but the 997 gt3 is a special thing and i expect i will buy mine back or something similar at some point within 5 years
