Hi folks, I am just looking for a little bit of advice when buying a Z4. Is there any known issues or things I should look out for, etc. I've had a look about and can't really see any known faults with them
After months of searching and deliberation into what car I was going to buy I have finally settled on the Z4 3.0si roadster. I went from alfa brera to honda s2k, then from a 535d to lexus GS 450h. I really didn't know what I needed from my next car until I realised I didn't actually need one; driving is more something I just sheer enjoy rather than a necessity. Forget 4/5 seats, I'll manage with 2. Forget the fuel economy of a diesel or alternative, I can just drive it a bit less, quality over quantity right. Although I have never driven one myself yet, I feel the Z4 is right for me.
My last car was a mazda rx8 and I got rid of it after owning it for just over a year due mainly to its fuel economy. I have noticed on paper the Z4 has good fuel economy when in comparison to its rivals, s2000, 350z, slk 350, etc. Has everyone found this to be true, what is the average fuel economy for the 3.0si in real life? I'd be delighted with 30+mpg as I was averaging around 15mpg in the mazda.
I am going to look at a couple on Tuesday/Wednesday. Both are 06 plates and have around 40,000miles on them. Any advice, or reassurance I that I've chosen the right car  , will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Hyder
