Beautiful - so now you guys are pulling every bit of exotica you can find since I've gone for a Jag ...lol

Not really, I recon the Jag is a top choice and a good stepping stone before the Maserati... Can't say the DB9 is that impressive to me anymore, feels like finally being able to own a Lambo Countach only to find out that it was cool 20 years ago but you missed the boat (IMO)

DB9 is old tecknology now, well past it's best.

You posted your comment on the 9th which was the end of last week, the new week commenced on the 11th (in my world anyway) :)

You have too much time. I was referencing the DB9 that's not on the cards now. Photos of the Jag when I get it :)

Doh! I will have to start reading all the thread, however, like a man wearing orthopedic shoes, I stand corrected :)

Blimey! Just had a look at the approved used Jag website! 2008 models are a steel now aren’t they!! Especially the V8!

Maserati GT is a great car, but only in V8 and S guise, anything else and you have the automated manual and it's like a smart gearbox at best........unless your throttle control is spot on you'll be waiting for paint to dry quicker...

And also the interior on the GT is not the best either....but agreed stunning to look at, great sound.....

Breaker - yes - that was the problem. I've picked something up for peanuts that has lost way over 50% in under 2 years. Has manufacturers warranty, dealer warranty, barely run in, etc.

Kryton - you win some quick snaps as I went by yesterday to do paperwork
Not even PDI checked or really on sale and prev owners private plate still on

Just realise he specced mudflaps all around - no wonder it has no stone rash

Nice  Does it come with a complimentary pipe, slippers and smoking jacket?  Just kidding, nice motor!

Actually that was my impression until I got a hold of one. Complete renaissance of the brand seems to have taken place with 3 new models over the last few years.

Stupid things but approach the car, comfort access opens it. Touch start button and the gear selector rises out the centre console, air vents rotate out of the alloy dash, etc. Real cool.

Compare to equiv. Merc with black on black, fabric seats and soooo boring

I imagine this kind of car attracts absolutely zero negative attention. Something you have to weigh up with Astons, Mazzers etc. Heck, we get enough of it in our lowly Z4s :D

you kno...i'll be happy taking over from your job (dossing at home) if you ever decide to retire

i want an AMV8 :(

but your jag sounds v posh mate!!

Nice car. Looks huge. Are they about the same size as a 5 or 7 series?

They match against 5 Series, Audi A6 and Merc E Class

Hey Woots - It's taken years to get to a job like this. You're not having it, although don't be fooled I don't do anything. Life's never that simple.

Nice Jag 8) Shame about the Aston :(
I like the look of the XJ next to it :)

I think the wheels need changing though :poke: You've got to do something to make it your own

Do you think I can get any more smilies in such a short but legible post? :|

Don't get me started else it will be custom spray on rims, headlights split to see what I can do with the amber, retrofit LED intake blades. Nargh - run it exactly as-is

Great choice Phil, Jag currently has the Germans on the run with superb looking and well built cars by all accounts must be the Indian influence :poke:
Had a look at one a while ago but couldn't put my finger on what I didn't like but whatever it was hit me the second I sat in it, even the wife saw it in my face, I think it was the wood trim etc just not ready for it yet.
Enjoy it and I give you 6 months before the first mods start.
