Only issue is the inspection 2 is due but its completely immaculate up close, what do you guys think, i will need to add on £500/1000 for an inspection 2 but at 30,000 miles i think its a good price.

Opinions?

Looks a great car and priced about right, only caveat is its only done 800 miles in 2 years, so check tyres for age and maybe brake discs as they can rust up if not regularly used.

Same miles as mine, prices seem to be staling on the roadster? I wish I had gone for the tin top...

Looks good value to me and low owners too.

12yr old & never had ins2 :? not exactly been pampered by its 2 owners as it :(
£600/£750 should see you a decent service at a knowledgeable indy with coolant , brake fluid & all the other requirements for Ins2
Aim for £14500 , spend £1k & enjoy a pretty exclusive club (30k) but rattle some miles on & they will soon hit the value

2012 guy bought it and the garage insp2 it (merc garage)
2014 oil
2016 oil
2018 something is due ..

If ins2 was 2012 it should read

2012 ins2
2014 oil
2016 ins1
2018 oil
2020 ins2
providing mileage isn't intergalactic in between of course .

How does it sound on cold start & once warmed up ? Ins2 at a Merc garage would worry me that valve clearances hadn't been done

I think he has done oil and oil without an insp1 due to doing 800 miles in the last 2 years.

No worries there , for me its really only due ins1 ( id also do coolant + brake fluid if no recent record ) but that's basically Ins2 minus spark plugs

this is what i am working with. So get an Insp1 done? Its done 8k miles in 6 years.

Technically only an oil service is due. Services are based around the number of miles done and if insufficient miles are travelled then additional oil services are performed every 2 years.

That said however, it would be prudent to have the car checked over, so I would simply get an inspection 1 done.

The merc garage sent the car back to the original bmw garage that sold it for the inspec2 Scotthall Hampshire BMW, you see the stickers are for the same place,
