Build Thread: ///M Coupe Z3 Breadvan

Build update: While I was out yesterday at the FoS, these turned up for me

New chrome tailgate handle (on car original pitted underneath), handle seal, OEM screws [I know], front jacking plastics and an airbag tab for the passenger door as it was missing.

My mission continues :)

Oh, and here as shot of the MC next to my mates E46 330i at Pease Pottage yesterday around 0730 (he's a touring addict).

This is the current handle. Not crazy bad but I want mint :) Just discovered I dont have a socket arm long enough though so shopping trip first.

FoS was great wasnt it. Sat in the new M6 and had to fight the man maths!

Couldn't think of a better way to celebrate my 7000th post than to upload a picture of the Breadvan :)

Time really does fly by when you're having fun.

Congratulations David, only another 13k and you'll have caught up with Bing...

She does look nice though...

I'd love to see your van up close inkey, always had a soft spot for them, especially in such an awesome colour :D

In fact, the reason i bought a z4m was because the mrs didnt like the breadvan look :(

I am in love with m coupes, I want one so bad...they are so quirky looking and cool as hell... problem is the price is only going up now

Thanks all; you're too kind :)
…and I'll never catch Bing's Legend status

I had a red z3 2.8 only always wanted z3m .which my son says is the best out of all the m cars raw power no electrics to help you .just driver ability

fantastic looking z great condition

Build update: got myself a new socket extension and installed a brand new OEM chrome rear handle with seal. Old one wasn't awful, but had some bubbling present underneath and I want my baby in the best condition possible (she turns 16 in August!).

Anyway, here are some pictures...

We could set up time shares ;-) looking great though. Are you nearly there with it now? Interesting , the more I look at the M coupe vs z4 M coupe - I think the z3 variation will be more desirable in the long run, so cool and unusual.

Just like I've said recently on here when someone put pics up, I think the z3 roadies (and even more so the Ms with the bumpers) just look so good! All of a sudden to me.

6 month session

Nearly there now with her. Just need to get a new set of front discs and pads, install the two new front jacking point plastic units and replace the external temp sensor. Then its just about fettling the paintwork to remove some swirls and possibly get myself a roof rack as they look unfeasably cool in utility mode

Think the MC has always had an aesthetic following as it contains the power to match the looks. Roadies suffered in the last decade or so but for me they've always looked like a fantastic, modern take on a classic roadster with the way the bonnet lines work around the front wheels, the fins and the wide rear. Might just be their time in terms of design appreciation.

Still adore the Z4 look and feel though. That flamework, interior simplicity and that rear end do it every time!
