I've read good things about ETA. Read a lot of good reports about a small garage in Dartford called Scotts Performance. He owns and looks after some race beemers and looking at his FB page he works a fair few performance cars.

ETA are fantastic. Used them on more than a few occasions including a recent Insp2 on my old Z4MR. I just couldn't wait around for a reply and am too lazy to call! Plus I always wanted to try BMSport just to see if it increases my options. Scotts sounds interesting too. Will investigate further.

Then it will be very nearly time to book that KDS paint correction ;)

Mine will be going there for the full works too at some point in the next 12 months but will get it trailered home so that it doesn't get dirty on the 170 mile trip.

Which level package were you thinking of going for OG?

Surely that's a little excessive - you've got to drive it at some point...

Possibly but if you're going to spend over a grand on a detail/wheel refurb etc., a couple of hundred more to avoid it looking ditched when you get it home is worth it in my opinion.

Ink$ - not sure yet. Either the gold detail or a less expensive detail but with some wet sanding - to get rid of the usual BMW orange peel. I also want calipers and hubs painting, wheels refurbishing from bare metal and usual engine/internal detail too.

It will be expensive but it's something I've been meaning to do for a while and from what I can tell Kelly is the best in the business. I don't do modding - the car is 100% stock, so this is will be my indulgence. I'll have converted an outbuilding back to a garage by then and so the car will be kept undercover out of the elements afterwards.

Fair enough - and I'm hardly one to talk as I probably spend more time cleaning my Garage Queen than I do driving her...

That's the guy I used for my Zed for all of its TLC

Looks real backstreet, knows some real insider tinkering knowledge & always keenly priced
