You mean you're surprised that 106MCs have been lost? The MC is notorious for swapping ends, particularly in the wet, and it can catch out the most experienced of drivers because the suspension has far too much play permitting unpredictable, sudden, lateral and longitudinal load shifting. Hence quite a number have been written off over the past 16 years. It is a totally different driving experience to the Z4MC, which is far easier to drive because of the stiff rear suspension and very safe geometry settings.
