Bubbling paint on bonnet

Gasing a reaction to the paint underneath or from being wiped over by thinners to wipe off the dust.
I have used acrylic on acrylic and still had reaction. Perhaps acrylic on water based paints.
Seeing as in a line might some kind of run back from lifting the bonnet before respray. Might just be water contamination.
Take the car to a paint sprayer rather than BMW.

This is why I prefer BMW do the bodywork repairs. I’ve just had a new door skin and half the car painted (insurance) for exactly the reason that it can’t come back to bite me.

I feel for the original poster on this as a bonnet respray is expensive. Biiiiigg bonnet!

BMW quoted £600 to paint my bonnet last year, but then, to my surprise, the repair shop manager said, 'Leave it as it is. The stone chips are part of the car's history.' Now, I think he was right.

Beyond that, there's no corrosion and, if I have it painted, it'll only get chipped again, anyway.
