Reminds me of the old "John player Special" Lotus F1 car. And I liked that!Johnr32 said:
I have a set of bronze 108's on my montego blue e86 that I occasionally fit for a change of look. I also have a silver set as the silver wheels make the body shape look "cleaner". If I could only have one set, I would have stuck with silver as, all in all, it looks better. But as always, do what you would prefer as it is your car!Spaniarduk said:Does anybody have or know of any e85, e86 or even e89 in Imola red w/ bronze wheels? I need my 224-style wheels refurbish and i saw the following on facebook the other day, which got me interested!
Please feel free to post some pictures of you can.

I'd agree with that...patriot66 said:I wouldn't say that any of the alloys in the previous photos are a bronze finish. They look gold to me. Bronze is darker, browner. This OZ alloy has been refinished in bronzeunnamed.jpg
That's the later Lotus 79 'Black Beauty' (Peterson/Andretti era). The earlier Lotus 72 JPS (Fittipaldi/Peterson era) had gold wheels mainly and the much later Lotus 97 (Senna era) had split rims with gold centresskelters said:AveZ4coop said:Reminds me of the old "John player Special" Lotus F1 car. Practically twins except the F1car had silver wheels. There are pictures with the gold wheels though.

Oh wow! I am slowly moving from skepticism to definite love. Red car with bronze / gold alloys definitely rocks!!john-e89 said:Not my taste but each to their own.![]()
