Brighter Headlights - Update

The Osram Nightbreakers are working fine - no regrets swapping them in. However, the CANBUS LED side lights have given me problems. (I can already hear Scooba-steve saying 'I told you so').
A few days after fitting them the warning bulb light came on the dash and also whenever I indicated right the indicator flashed rapidly. This was a intermittent problem, so the warning light and rapid flashing would suddenly disappear. But it happened often enough to make me swap the original sidelight bulbs back in.
And guess what, I still keep getting the intermittent warning bulb light and rapid firing right indicator signal. It is less often - sometimes happing after 45 mins driving and then righting itself 5 mins later.
I have even swapped in a new side light bulb, but the problem is still persisting

All these canbus 'error-free' LED's are a bit hit and miss. In my experience the ones with the most LED's on them seem to work the best, I assume the extra resistance keeps the warning lights/error codes away.
I've been driving my Leon around for the last few months with a sidelight warning message on. The same bulbs work fine in the zed. CBA to keep messing around so will stick the old candle bulbs back in the leon when i can be bothered!

Marlon, have a word with the guys where you got the bulbs from it might be a faulty bulb. I swapped one of mine as the colour was wrong ,no issues at all and delivered next day. Mine have been in a good few months with no problems at.
All I can suggest is make sure the bulbs are pushed home fully in the holder.

Perhaps not so fast though. If it was the sidelight I would expect the indicator to come on (solid) for the faulty side.
Try changing the LED sidelight back to a bulb temporarily and see if the problem reappears. Check all the bulbs are seated correctly but the flashing rapidly makes me think it's an indicator issue. The car has been known to find fault with a bulb before it actually fails. Check side and rear indicators too with new spares if you have them.
