I would expect the pedal to actually require less effort from normal speeds, due to the combination of a larger piston bore, more friction/pad contact area and also the fact that the larger diameter increases the braking force, as in the further away from the centreline that the pads are, the more leverage. More leverage = more stopping power. I am certainly expecting better performance from the upgrade, both in normal use, and erm, hard use...
