The Boxster is a better car to drive - i don't think anyone would say otherwise (unless talking about an //M where the performance difference can sway it).
I've driven old ones and new ones, and to be honest, they're all the same Boxster underneath - fantastic to drive, and all leaking oil. My mate at work just got an RS60 - less than a year old and its leaking oil. My brothers 2001 2.7 did the same. The friends 2002 3.2S does the same. A friend's 991 GT3 does the same.
No idea why Porsche can't sort this out - but, if this was our 3rd car, rather than our second, that would be OK - but I need to use this everyday and not worry about things breaking - its a very good compromise.
