Bought a Brera !

It,s home & i,m loving it , been out earlier for an hour in it & i,m more than staggered with the build quality ,
An italian motor on 95k yet it,s solid & totally free of any squeek,s ,knocks or rattles .
Everything work,s :o all the trim look,s factory fresh & at errrmmm 100ish  (the rev & speedo are opposite sides to german so i got confused :P ) it hunker,s down without a twitch :driving: i like it a lot , more a GT than a sport,s car so don,t expect pin sharp into the bends but it doesn,t flap about if you do push it ,
Throw in the price at £5100 with T&T & there,s zero to moan about  i can see a Normandy jaunt 1st week in Sept beckoning 8)

What a great looking car for the money..

I have always loved alfa's and have had a few.. The last one I had was a 155 silverstone . It was a great car and nothing went wrong with it...

I did have a 75 3.0 veloce that cost me a few quid though..lol..

I had a brief go in a Brera a few years ago and was impressed with it, albeit nearly new at the time it felt nice..

Very nice there, Andy. Also had an Alfa before (like quite a few on here) - 147 Gta, completely bonkers. Test drove a Brera, thought the looks were incredible. However the local Alfa garage's sales crew here were a bunch of muppets, so declined it.

Gorgeous car. Seriously considered one before I was aware of the existence of a Z4C.
In terms of aesthetics and around this price range (plus some), nothing comes close to the Z4 coupe, the brera and the spider.
Friend nearly pulled the trigger on one last week but the reviews about reliability have put him off. He's getting an TT instead now. Hey you had one of them too!

Recently had a V6 Dsg TT mk1  great car & i loved the engine noise & torque .
Did consider Mk2 TT but thought it was time to initiate myself to the Alfa world + wanted something rarer & a little different ,
RE the reliability on Brera / as with all car,s they can have issues but do some homework+footwork & no reason why it shouldn't prove reliable
Useful buyers guide here for anyone considering the Brera

Well i wasn't prepared for the "Alfa" love :? came out of supermarket to find a chap showing his lady around it :o then an hour later at the petrol station i have a chap with a A3 S line ask me how much i paid & tell me he really wanted one but thought they had a bad rep for mechanical failure & depreciation ?
That may prove to be so but it,s been a while since i had a motor that stirred interest of a positive kind :driving:

Cheer's Dan , they are quirky motor's that some folk's get & some don't
Day 6 ownership today & bonnet was up at my BM indy's  he did a stint at Alfa in the 90's & said other than being made from recycled washing machine parts they were ok :P

the thing that detracts me from them is they are front wheel drive, aren't as fast as a z4 and the tax is higher (3.2 engine one)

yeah they are cheaper then a coupe though and look nice... blue and red are my favorite colours for them
