Bought a Brera !

Always wanted a Brera and very nearly pulled the trigger on a fully loaded, black Prodrive before opting for Breadvan status. You'll have to let us know what she's like Mr W. Marmite in terms of ownership experience so I'd really be interested. Such a stunning looking car.

Oh and more pictures please! Love that interior btw

Definitely a keeper.

I test drove one a while ago and was really underwhelmed, I then drove an audi straight after and the audi was loads better. However after not wanting another bmw I opted for an M3 lol.

Totally different cars tho  1 is a weapon that to the uninitiated looks like every other 3 series in the car park & 1 has some design style & rarity about it :D
i did have a 2002 93k E46 M3 in Py on the hook for not much more than paid for the Alfa but i dunno ? Just didn,t have me pulling the trigger ??
Just fancied something a bit different in the garage from the german stuff ive had the last few years

some nice touches like the mirrors fold away with the remote locking which ive never understood why the german brands have never done ?
My mirrors fold away on my 330i when I lock it but it is the only bmw I have owned that has done that though for some reason.

Yeah that is odd ? 6 series unfolded when unlocking but had to be folded with door button on exit , , ,Touareg , Z4C , A6, X3 all operated button on door only .
Folding mirrors def one of those extra missed when you don,t have them

Looks great. I had a 156 a few back and it was super reliable, and I made a profit on it when i sold it.
I like the marmite interior!

I can see you in a Alfa Inks , a pal who is a Alfa fan said this when i told him " there are Alfa lovers then there are others , if you have to explain Alfas to the other,s they will never be lovers "
I am genuinely excited to get the car home tomorrow , my father in law will have the pleasure of driving the 40 miles home in it but he,s a car nut himself so he always enjoys picking the car,s up with me

I always loved the look of these but I was put off reading the reviews and because they are heavy and (relatively) slow. Looks really good though Mr Wilks.

Cheers mate , it doesn,t have Zm or 911 performance but then i haven,t paid that money & in the end realised i,m not after that experience
Top budget would have been £14k all in so i have genuinely considered all manner of car,s over the last 3 weeks which include Cayman 2.7 , X5 3,0d , Cayenne V6 ,987 Boxster,Z4 m R or C :o , Mk2 TT Tfsi or V6 ,R32 MK5 ( my 2nd choice after the Brera) E46 M3 & of course a 3.0 Z4 coupe especially the one "sparkyman" has for sale on here 8)
In the end I just wanted a car that makes me smile when i lift the garage door & not be seen on every corner
Looking forward to it & to the Alfa experience , whether that mean,s a reality check if it fails, i don,t know but i,m up for the experience

Lovely car, Breras certainly do have style and that moonroof is great.
You need to get the 5 hole tele dial alloys though

Btw, do the hazards still flash when you break hard into corner?

I agree they are something you miss if you don't have them and 5 out of the 6 beemers I have had have all had folding mirrors on them but I think that's been more by luck than judgement, but only my 330 has folded them in on locking it and on the others like you I have had to fold them in with the button on the door.

Did you buy this from zeeshan up near the airport Andy ?
Torquecars Cheadle rd , seemed a decent set up & 1 guy there was buying his 3rd car from them / hope they aren,t dodgy ?

Absolutely love Alfas and have had couple in the past - had a 155 when they were winning the BTCC. Like all the best cars, every drive feels special... They do have their mechanical/electrical gremlins, but mine never let me down, just don't get too stressed out by this weeks warning light! Enjoy the drive home :)
