To get there before 8.15 will mean a 5.30am set off for me. I will really struggle with that.

I reckon if we get there about 10 minutes earlier we'll be fine. Even if we don't there might be loads of stewards in attendance because they'll want that entrance shut by 9am. So even if we do get stuck behind Bing's burger delivery convoy we might get in quite quickly.

You don't need to be there before us, just with us, and I guess at the latest just before 9 - we're all parked together. This entrance is specifically for us (as part of the BMWCC group) whether convoying in from J15 or not... Right ?

Don't forget burgers

I'll bring a wee table for food preparation too - emphasis on the 'wee', as the roof still needs to be able to go down

Mrs B has now insisted I prepare a list. With her assistance. FFS

I'll be on burger duty too! May have a small BBQ I could bring too (something else to shine up before coming!) I might be flying solo now for the day as my brother has a stag do this weekend so I can fit a little more in!

Cool - because I was just reminded in Morrisons how small the disposable ones are

Got two, might get a couple more ?

Trying to find a car park or gate map to Silverstone is a complete mare. I know I have the printed one at home but I'm trying to work out the route following the BMW CC GB email and I can't find a single map with markings online... you'd think they'd publish something...

Anyone thought about name badges/stickers/whatever? Might be worth it to put names to faces. I've an old neck ID card that I've put my name and forum name on, whether I wear it on the day and feel a prat is another matter..

Good idea I will do similar :)

SH1T... I've just read they have a no pet policy. Crap, this means if I can't bring the dog, then I can't bring the OH either as the puppy can't be left alone the whole day... damn... yet another problem. I'm sure there were dogs there last year... still , perhaps for the best as she's just a puppy and all that noise might be a bit much. Looks like I'm coming on my own then.. :(

I don't think many have a pet allowed policy . The only one I know of is Dogs on leads ( as we do) at Goodwood breakfast club.

The last mail had a link to Google maps with the route pre-planned as well as various sat nav inputs.

LINKY for the hotel to gate route

Southerly route up google maps link is HERE

For those with Satellite Navigation Systems here are the Hotel Route files for a number of systems. (Thank you Darren, for generating all these files for us).

It all depends when I have the op. And it's not in my hands.

I am throwing in the towel on this year. It's a shame been looking forward to it since I got the car in October.

Next year maybe........

Bugger, that's crap.. what a shame... still better to concentrate on health, silverstone will still be there in 12 months time.

So just for the sake of some online info... it appears car park 40 is right at the bottom/west of the track. Accessed via a small roundabout with an awkward slip road leading to it. Its just above the brown splodge on the photos below;

Thought it might help.

Here's a close up from google, red line from the roundabout down to the car park.
