No-one actually mentioned it to me, although I wasn't by the car the whole time. Most discussion was about the carbon fibre front spoiler, followed by the sports fenders.

My GF who likes cars but isn't 'into them' as such and doesn't tend to comment simply pointed at the headlight covers on the red Alpina and asked 'Why?!' No answer could be given. :|

I think the eyelids disrupted the airflow over the car and that's why she stuck to 40mph all the way round :D
 
I never saw this and now understand what all the fuss is about... not something I'd do, but its their car, up to them really...

My view was she was blind and being led by a fast Labrador. No owner with any taste and eyesight would fit those !
