BMWCCGB Zedfest, 20 – 22 July 2012, Silverstone Circuit

I'm getting obsessed with weather websites at the mo... each one says something different FFS! The cars getting cleaned Friday afternoon, so provided there's no overnight rain, a quick detail on the stand as all she'll need. Fingers crossed...

I keep looking too....hoping it will be ok....bringing products and cloths with me too.

Doesn't take more than 15 mins to detail the whole car

Yes I am hoping for dry weather but I shall bring wellies shorts umbrella cleaning o and s supplies. But if the wife won't do it I guess I will.

I'll clean anyone's car for £10, donated to a charity of their choice.....

Provided its not too dirty and not covered in mud....

Can't say fairer than that

Does anyone know how many Zeds are expected at the event?.
Just posting a numbers update - across the forums we're showing that we have 235 zeds registered. Given that not everyone buying a V-pass is registered on a forum I'd say we should expect 250+ zeds on Saturday

That plus fuel, plus overnight stay for some etc, turns the whole thing into 'a very dear do'... I'm only there due to the club discount that gets two of us in for the price of one.

edit: they mentioned around 80,000 people will attend. On simple sums thats 80,000 multiplied by 50 quid (or whatever it was for normal entry). That's a gross of 4 million quid for one weekend. Nice... Can I get more discount next time please??

Well at £60 a ticket there's little wonder...

Add the cost of fuel and food, taking it to about £100 for the day and likelihood of huge traffic jams and nothing but a swamp on arrival and I'm out now.
Done Silverstone at a wet GP and it's simply aweful.

As I type this it's raining so heavy my drive is floded and guttering won't handle the rainstorm..

That said I hope the sun shines and everyone has a great day

UPDATE - MAJOR Change of Display Location > NEW DIRECTIONS

Due to poor ground conditions at Silverstone, we have been moved at our request, to a new position as follows:

New Directions
From Car Park 49 ticket control... Go to Tee junction, turn RIGHT and proceed to Stop line. Turn LEFT and proceed over the Bridge until the Mini Roundabout, turn LEFT and proceed in a straight line until you come to a STOP at the TRACK. Turn LEFT and proceed SLOWLY, under the bridge and prepare to STOP where directed by Club Marshals to your SIGNED area. We are using the disused circuit as our parking area, with all Classes-Models-Types in sections. All facilities are in this area. We will use this position for FRIDAY and SATURDAY, and going to AREA 14, adjacent to this position, for SUNDAY. We hope the better weather will improve our event.

Information will be given throughout the event duration from the Club's marquee.

Thanks for your patience and understanding on this. Finally, PLEASE pass on ALL this info to others you know are coming to zedfest.

DON'T FORGET YOUR DRIVING LICENCE!

Great news - didn't fancy 250 of us fitting the tow eye and waiting to be dragged off the field - well done :)
