It was an officer in a car Adam. Apparently he'd followed me for 4 miles, half a mile back from me.

It probably goes without saying but just to make sure - be CAREFUL when you open your doors to ensure that you don't ding the adjacent car.
...and do try and park in a straight line, it looks so much better on the photos![]()
Thanks for your understanding and let's have a great zedfest!

The event's for everyone, it's just the BMWUKCC are organising the largest collection of Zeds in one place for some record... expect there will be some prizes for the best in each colour... probably one of my microfiber cloths.
I think I may even have a spare ticket for Sat, mate's not coming though there's a 50% chance of my son riding shotgun. Let me check this week & will let u know

Hate to put a bit of a downer on proceedings but I've just spoken to eSure & while they'll cover my car in the static display the parade lap is another matter.
Obviously full trackday insurance (~£100) would be over the top... do you know if the BMWCC have 'prewarned' any track-friendly insurance companies so we don't have to buy full trackday cover when we contact them? Obviously some may not be bothered but I'd hate to be dinged by someone waving at the crowd, dodging a rabbit etc!![]()
Also do you know if Silverstone require us to wear crash helmets for the parade lap - sometimes it's written into their insurance requirements.

So we should be fine then ? I assume sandbagging is stacking cars up close together ? I guess the problem is someone slowing down deliberately then trying to hoon past a grandstand and losing it somehow...
