Well the mods have been able to change Pondy from 'Lifer' to 'Muppet' so surely they can change someone from 'Member' to 'Do NOT Buy from!'

Also seems to have set his user settings so we can't see when he last was on here, so no idea if he's watching the goings on or not.
Hopefully 'management' can take some form of action for the future?

Just report anyone selling stuff within a few posts of joining with email addresses linked or who try to take you to email addresses from PM- safe not sorry
 
@Any1else you need to report this to the police if you haven’t already. You must have some of his details from PayPal no? Also report to them. I know F&F so no compensation but still surely they can act somehow.

Don’t know what the options are RMB. I would love to report him to the police but I am not convinced he is even UK. The PayPal account email is Swiss (story about his wife being Swiss and that is the account they use). What details would the Mods have when he signed up?

I see he is on a lot of other forums too doing the same thing.
 
Pretty sure he isn’t in the UK. He has a proton mail email address and every time he accessed the forum it was through a VPN.

Yeah I googled proton mail and realised it was a Swiss encrypted service. The Swiss relatives story was obviously another lie.
 
Yes, I googled godman57 and it comes up with lots of scams, Toyota GT Furba, Car Lucid owners, Flydynon. He uses the email bust57 in Germany, Greece and the USA. His address on one of the sites is Kenai, Alaska, USA. He was born 9 June 1967, 58 yrs old and Male. The AI at top of page has a warning about him, so we will all need to be aware as he will probably now use a new name etc. What a scumbag. :mad: Also Godman57 seems to be something to do with slingshots (catapults).

Used to work fine but has now decided not to open and when I manually flip it it only displays the main menu. I can use the radio button to move around the selections but can’t select anything. Radio operated as normal and I can change modes for cd etc. Tbh I am guessing it’s the screen but I am going to take it in to see if I can get an opinion on a repair.

I don't think there's an issue with screen it could be the computer behind the rear console.
fixing the gears for flip screen could be tricky depending on how the plastic disintegrated.
I have a spare sat nav computer here in Chester you can try, if that helps.

Thanks GenZed - do you mean the cd where the sat nav disk sits (within the centre console at your left elbow)? I did wonder about it but it powers up fine and the disc spins. The gears and teeth in the screen are ok and intact. No issue there. I am Glasgow so not handy to you but I don’t mind trying another drive to see if that’s an issue. Any other way of narrowing it down?
