BMW performance mats

I had the despatch notification on Monday, that's why I'm surprised they're not here yet.

Picked mine up today, the drivers side isn't a very good fit but it'll do  I'll need to devise some sort of adhesive to get the velcro right, the fittings are all plastic inserts for the F30 footwell.

I tell you something...

I have never seen the storage net fitted on the drivers side of the transmission tunnel..

Thats a new one on me...

Part of the storage pack, comes with a pair of cup holders on a roadster. Coupe get a net in the boot also I believe.

Yea I fitted the net yesterday! I didn't buy one for the passengers side, however seeing how easy it was to fit I might go on and do that.
Currently crafting together the F10 gear know so I'm quite tense right now, about to commence the gluing stage!

Yeah but the net is always fitted on the passenger side, not the drivers side.

Good idea though.

The way it was built, it looked like it was meant for that side, possibly a left hand drive passenger net? I looked at the studs on the net and matched it up, it could only go on that side. Tbh even if it was meant to go on passengers side, I'll find more use for it and would have preferred it on drivers side anyway!

Done this myself, pulled it pretty tight but not sure if it was a bit too much as there's a little rubbing. Time will tell, though it is amazing!

Missed that part

It's definitely the right way around on the right side though! If you look at the studs here:

These are supposed to be pointing outwards, that just didn't work on the passengers side :?
So there's either a different passengers side one, or I've got a left hand drive car net!

I've ordered a set, Well if I don't like them I can put them in my F30 m sport !!
Haha that's the way I justified paying £85 for a set of just 2 mats! Flippin £40 for the rear 2 mats, WUT! :o

Ruh roh. Yea my local dealer had to wait until May 7th before they could get some in. I travelled down to Cooper BMW in Durham who had two sets, probably still have a set if you wanna call them and ask for delivery.

One thing for sure is you'll definitely have to devise some way of pinning them down, they come equipped with the F30 floor pins so that's something to work with. I took the Z into work this morning, sunny day n all that :driving: and I found the mats sliding around very quickly and getting caught on the clutch pedal, which is very distracting and can be dangerous. Some sticky on velcro might do the job to hook onto the existing Z floor velcro.

I've got a roll of heavy duty velcro that I've used on carpets before

However it's now a moot point as I chased up Stratstone Hull (the ebay seller) and they said they're on backorder (as per the email they said they'd sent the next day) and will be another 2-4 weeks. So told them to refund me and get their communication working properly as I received a despatch notification 3 days after their supposed backorder email :headbang:

Looks like I'm sticking to my rubber all season ones

Don't know what's going on with BMW parts at the moment as some minor suspension bits for mine have taken 10 weeks to arrive from BMW Germany - and has put back my suspension refresh/replacement until about a week before I'm due to go to the 'Ring :headbang:

I got the eBay message saying that they are on back order, but today I noticed eBay item now changed to shipped!!!
