BMW performance mats

I like the look of these....

Prestige for the Scottish "summer" and rubber mats for the winter.

The problem I've found with some of the aftermarket mats is that they don't stay in place unless you fit all kinds of clips/pins/fixings.

The 3 sets (1 summer, 2 rubber) of BMW mats I've bought have stayed in place without any fixings, and have only been about £10 a set dearer.

why i like the performance ones is the z4 interior is looking alittle dated now but still very cool/retro so i think those style mat in that colour will really enhance the cabin for cheap outlay really... well in bmw world anyway,.

Is that not due to the obvious deficiencies you have in, "Z4 version 3 - with permanently attached hardtop" ?

With the increased wind pressure caused by driving a Z4 with the roof down (as the Great God Bangle intended) the mats I have never move.

This couldn't happen with a, "CooPee" due to sealed capsule effect and differences in pressure inside and outside causing some sort of strange mat moving effect.

Have you thought of posting on the problems section as there's probably a solution somewhere?

Yes I'm taking the piss! :poke:

I'll look at the BMW mats!

nice work mac, those definitely look ike they will fit....

m5 if for any reason your not happy with your mats you can have mine and ill by your new ones from you. mine in the car are like new, as mine doesn't need 'total' protection as its used twice a week ill definitely take a punt so its a win win for you either way. if you keep then ill order a new set.

B
Should get them by next weekend.

I am looking forward to seeing what the actual fit is like when you get them, as I am thinking of splashing some cash on some new mats and these mats look fantastic :)

I was hoping these performance mats would be lighter than my rubber ones and thus help me break the magical 180mph speed on the speedo.

Just got home, and there's nothing waiting for me. No cards for missed deliveries either :x

Hope them come tomorrow!

Interested to hear of the BHP increase due to the mats!
No more power, but a better power-to-weight ratio as my BMW rubber ones are twice the weight.

Lighter so less weight to carry = faster.

According to boy racers in their Corsa's that should give you around 20bhp increase as they are performance.

If it was normal mats it would only be 5 - 10 bhp.

If the mats said Turbo on them it would be a different matter completely!

Hopefully they'll arrive tomorrow.

I've ordered a G220 v2 DA last night. Should arrive tomorrow.

Still no sign of my mats. Must have been so light that they've blown out of the delivery van.

My G220 v2 came today though so at least that's some good news!

£159.95 from http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/

Some pads and Menzerna Final Finish SF4500 to add to the ever growing collection of lotions and potions for the Z4!

Looking forward to a morning of cleaning tomorrow!

The mats will arrive tomorrow. Maybe!

I've just been into the dealers to order some of these, however even BMW have run out of them... very few dealers now have these in and they're looking at 7th May before the next batch are manufactured. Let's hope due to the low stock they didn't take the mats you ordered and hand them over to a full M Performance pack buyer
I put my F30 drivers mat into the Z and it was a pretty poor fit around the pedals, but I think if you put these on top of the existing Z mat it'll maybe not look so bad. Fingers crossed.
