Want to be any more pessimistic before even you've seen it Maniac? Or just complain about everything these days?

My local Dealer posted this vid on their Facebook page this morning :)

Tim.

Modern BMW's seem to look much better in the flesh than on photos or video.

When the new 6 series came out I thought it looked crap on the adverts but I now think the M6 is absolutely stunning in the metal.

I'm going to wait until I see one for real until I decide. I bet even the the slightly disappointing "normal" 4 series is going to look pretty amazing in the right colour and with the right wheels.

Wow, love it more then i thought i would!

Even like that colour with the two tone looks spectacular!

I love the 3 series interior so more then happy with that...

Absolutely stunning.

I love the subtle ///M strip decal on the roof! :driving:

Have to agree after looking at the bimmerpost photos Steven's posted. Looks stunning.

As for the engine - straight 6 turbo with 450hp seems to be the consensus and extensive use of lightweight materials in the car mean it will be lighter than the 435i (which is 1525kg) so power to weight ratio is going to be much higher than the outgoing E92 M3. It's also got about 180lb/ft of torque more than the E92.

Shame it's a turbo. That's my only real gripe but great NA engines are a dying breed unfortunately.

Ye but the new turbo engines are fantastic for turbos. Worth having a go OG barely any lag what so ever apparently

So in other words it's the same weight as my Z4M with 416hp and 400 lb/ft of torque. It's also 250kg lighter than the C63 and has a much higher power to weight ratio than the 991 Carrera.

I would imagine this is going to be doing the 0-100mph in low 9's high 8's.

Wow, could be quite a handful of a car then!

This is key for me & its why I am really looking forward to it...the two big gripes I have with my E92 M3 are it offers hardly any torque(although I did feel the same with my Z4M aswell) & its power to weight ratio is pretty ordinary for a car with over 400 bhp, I cant wait for the new one it should feel genuinely quick whereas N/A M cars very really do actually feel that quick, looking forward to it...just need a lottery win now!

There are some parts on this car that are beautifully crafted, but I can't help feeling the rear bumper corners are too fussy & from a side view, where those sills just look very flat & wrong with just what could be an average set of alloys, rather than a set you die for.

Maybe I'm just from a bygone age of curves; expanding & contracting ripples; striking a balance between making the bodywork contain flair without being too 'busy' ... it's just another imitation similar to where AUDI evolved the A4 into the A5 :fuelfire:

Think it looks terrific  but then i,d be more than happy with a Estoril blue or Py E46 M3  coupe of course

M division have hinted as well that a CSL version is on the cards. Imagine a 1400kg M3 with 480bhp for example.....you'd be talking new 991GT3 levels of performance with that. But probably a GT3 price-tag too! :|

It looks ok, but that's because it's an evolution of the current E92 M3 styling and the tuning house versions of the M3, I was hoping that they'd do a u-turn and use the concept with the typical M cues, quad exhausts and go in a new direction, but that would upset the whole m styling lineup.

What's more interesting are the specifications, lower, wider, lighter, more power, should = better driving car...

Would like to see in "space grey" with CSLs
