These have been appearing after allegedly being "leaked" on the internet. Check out http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=28280 for the full story.I must admit I think it looks fantastic.

Some of the pics on the Autocar site are interesting - one seems to suggest it has an Akrapovic exhaust system. Hope that stays on the production version!

 
Looks good from the outside.. but then its a concept and we were disappointed by the 4 series when it came to production.
 
Autocar mentions a Gran Coupe variant of the M4 - talk about milking the market....

That thought did occur to me and I knew that you'd remind me as well Gary! :thumbsup:
 
It does look like a junior M6 which is what BMW have been hinting at. Maybe this will be much more true to the concept than the mainstream 4-series was.

+1 I agree. Would have been nice if they integrated more of the duck spoiler. Be great if they made a more available harder version like the M3 CSL. With BMW heading backwards closer to their routes with cars that are a lot lighter this could be a direction, after the slightly bloated E92. Loved the E92 tho.

I think the 4 series looks great, design classic in every direction, the basis on many of the subtle features go back to many classic BMW designs. But you have to look for them to appreciate them, overall I think its stunning I also really like the 3 and they are selling like hot cakes. I knew as soon as the M division got hold of it they would make it look even better.

You have to remember the current 4 series is just the BMW sport line which is equivalent to the old SE. The M spec version hasn't officially been announced yet.

Isn't that kind of the point though?

The 4 series is effectively the 3 door version, whilst 3 series becomes a 5 door? Hence the "death" of the M3 coupé??

M4 looks fantastic though. Although not a fan of the ///M badge on the grille, almost acts to vindicate all the vagrants who stick ///M badges on grilles currently.

If it's that good looking why have they taken pictures of it in a darkened warehouse.

Now all they need to do is a sleek 2 door 2 seater version, with rag top and hatch variant.

Do we know what engine is in it? No shots I can see of that...

No confirmed news as far as I am aware but thought to be a straight six (obviously not NA)

Also no interior shots, could make or break it!
