bmw car trackday

Ah, I would but have to go back to school for a couple of months. I got the bug at the last BMW club event at Donington.
Will be great fun!

£140 open pit lane on the Indy circuit. I'm tempted, mostly because it's only 30mins away!

i'd like to but mate just pulled out so not sure any more.

Weather doesn't look too bad for Thursday so might just book later this evening or tomorrow.

Just booked up for this.

Should be fun as the weather looks likely to hold up. It's not too late to book for anyone that wants to as they said there a few spaces left when I rang earlier...

I can't make the trackday, but I work only 15mins down the road. I might pop over at lunch to say hi. Anyone know what time lunch is set for?

Just got back from having a quick nose around, unfortunately I didn't see anyone to talk to.

There was a nice blue Coupe with 888's, harnesses and a schnitzer spoiler. Then another couple of apparently standard blue Coupes. That batwing CSL looked awesome, the tyres must have been 350mm + across! Monsters.

Looked pretty quiet, I'm gutted I couldn't get the time off work now.

had a great time today weather was perfect no rain clear and sunny all day, 3 m coupes and one silver alpina but that was it for zeds, still loads of fun and highly recommended.

That would be me - it was a great day, can't stop smiling as it's the first time i've been on track (dry track day) since i had the 888's, harness, and kw v's installed. Car felt really good on track -

I think generally everyone had a good time considering it was late Nov with the sun shining for most of the afternoon.

Ended up cooking my front brakes though - note to self "always take a spare set of pads to track days". Car will be SORN off from end of Nov anyway, so not too worried. Good way to send the M into hibernation. I now have time to fit my AP's which have been gathering dust in the garage...

Roll on 2010..

PS - Flimper, good to catch up once again and nice meeting the other 2 zed drivers in the MC and Alpina RS.

A big learning curve, a bit disappointed to be the slowest/worst driver on track, right now I'm feeling that track days aren't for me :( Had a passenger ride in another guy's Z4M, I now understand what the car is capable of and how I'm driving it like Miss Daisy :)

Rich, you were doing the M justice, enjoyed your little scraps with the CSL and have got to say your exhaust note sounded lovely, compared to stock which is virtually silent on track in comparison.
