Bluetooth to Business CD

So I've been using a little AUX adapter which BT's to my phone, which I'm happy with but does anyone know of anything better that would work with the flimper business CD head unit, ideally which doesn't need me to dismantle half the dash.

EBay circa £25. I’m sure someone can confirm but all the wiring/ plug should already be there you just need to plug the adapter in.

I got one a good while back and it’s been faultless for hands free/ streaming 8)

Not entirely sure if the loom will be there in the later models.
You can stick your VIN into one of the online decoders and if it says 6 CD preparation then the loom should be there.
If not, then it is fairly simple to pop out the radio (once you master the vents) and plug one in directly to the back of it.

I use Bluebus and the sound quality is excellent compared to generic Bluetooth modules.

The r&d that has gone into this device is emence and well worth the money in my opinion.

I will be buying one of these. It plugs into the cd changer port, but they also do one that plugs into the head unit.

The nice thing about these over the slightly cheaper aux emulator ones is that you can use the skip buttons to change song, rather than having to interact with your phone.

Thanks! I’ll have a look online and see what options I have. I think I may just be being lazy about taking the head unit out.

[Ref]srhutch[/ref] has said many times over the years on the forums that UK spec cars come with CD autochanger prep loom as standard fitment.

Here is a picture of a car, with no CD changer, that I broke with all the interior stripped and showing how the CD changer loom is taped down. It should help you find it from the boot as you'll be hunting for it blind:

Interesting to know, thanks. I know they packaged and sold options differently for the different markets, but you'd think wiring 'prep' would be 'prep' regardless.

Uk cars all come Pre wired for cd changer and all have alarms. Where as I believe this isn't standard in the states.

So all UK cars have cd changer prep but not bluetooth telephone prep.

All US/Canada cars come with bluetooth telephone prep but not cd changer.

Do these guys appear as a input/source/mode option on the headunit ?
I'm assuming it attaches itself to either the AUX or adds a new input to select from the 'Mode' buton?

It'll either show as 'aux' or 'CD changer', depending on which you get. CD changer ones usually let you use the skip/MFSW wheel buttons, too. But yes - just selected with the `mode` button

Fantstic. Bit of time and effort when the weather gets warmer to find the CD changer loom in my coupe and this will do it.

It BT unit allows for faultless music streaming, hands free calls and all functions on the MFSW 8)
