I think the notepad function should still be there. Basically a simple voice recorder. Never used it though.

Frankly I gave up on voice commands after proving I could make them work. Easier to just find the number by scrolling and hit 'call'
 
It depends on which generation of ULF module you have. They are up to Version 13 now.

IIRC press and hold the 'talking head' button for 3 seconds and it will activate voice control it it's supported on your module.

yap ..the car does speak and get the command when i speak back but says the phonebook is empty ..which is not ..

dont worry its just a nice gimic , the car is the most important :)

problem solve. "the phone book is empty" because you have to enter the names and phone book to the car system, it cants get it from the phone itself for voice control.
this will be very helpful for the ones struggling with it

So the numbers show up in the radio display and when you press the dial button (looks like a person talking) it tells you the phone book is empty rather than dialing it? Strange.....

Definitely would check the compatibility as Cj10jeeper suggested as problem.

I have a Motorola Razr here in the US and it works fine.

(shoot you fixed it as I was typing--at least it's working now, good job! Mine loads up from the phone when I start the engine and I don't use the voice control-never got around to working on that, I just look at the display)
 
hi, i have the motorola K1 (should be similar to the razer) on a usa car (car was imported from us)
it does load the phone book and you can see the names on the screen but did you try to voice dial it? when i did it says "phone book is empty" i guess it doesnt mean the same phone book and the voice control needs it own voice phone book which you can create using the manual i added..
well now it working..i can talk to the Z ..haha
do you know if there is any way to change the voice from man to a woman? i would like to be the only man in the Z .. :) :D
