Bluetooth dongle

I'd still be interested to hear of dongle recommendations.
However, do you have any bt adapter recommendations? How easy is it to fit to the headunit? I don't have much experience of removing car pieces and always worry I'll create another issue.
Vin-decoder shows the car has S692A Preparation, mobile phone, Business and I have all the buttons on steering wheel and in cubby to suggest I have handsfree (I think) but I have never managed to get it to work!

I had the same, old iPod connector in the glovebox that tunes to the radio. Think it’s a Denison or something.

No controls for the phone, you have to manually control it / skip tracks etc or just set up a playlist and go. It's a crude-ish solution but if you just want to play music from your phone and nothing else it works.
I'd say yes, but if you are willing to 'have a go', do some research on this forum and YouTube and continue to do what you're doing now, which is talking to forum members, then we'll talk you through it, or failing that, someone may offer to help. Unfortunately although it paired with my phone (as demonstrated by blue light on dongle & phone screen showing it paired) I couldn't get music to play through the stereo. I played music on my phone and it must have been sent to the device as no sound came from the phone but it was playing.
The stereo screen said 'no magazine'. CD and radio working fine.
Now I know many years ago the 30pin connection lead worked with an ipod. The light on the dongle presumably means the connection lead is still connected i.e. not come loose.
Anyone any ideas why the stereo may not be picking up the sound??

Do you know what exactly your iPod connector connects to? Is it straight into the back of your head unit as an Aux or is it a separate unit like mine that broadcasts a radio frequency which your head unit then tunes to?
If it’s the latter like mine, all you should need to do is find the radio frequency and it’ll work (mine is 88.7 FM as below), no voltage adapter or otherwise needed....
