Hi all, so I got my first BMW Z4 3.0l E85 a couple of days ago and I'm extremely happy with it. But now I want to upgrade the car to have a bluetooth connection so anyone with a smartphone can just connect up and stream music over the hifi.
I have a Denison ice link at the moment, and the wire comes out into the glove box with a 30pin (old wide) iPod/iPhone connection. I'm wondering what the easiest way to install bluetooth is? There are a few options floating around in my head, but there could be other options I'm just not aware of.
I could (in order of what I'd like to do)
1. Find a bluetooth receiver with a 30pin connection so I can just plug it straight in and go
2. Find a bluetooth receiver that would take the place of the 30pin connection (to take the connector or wire off completely and replace with a bluetooth device)
3. Replace the entire Denison unit with something else.
Number 3 would be the most hassle, so I'd prefer to do 1 or 2 first. I don't want a Parrot sitting on the dash, if I'm going to install a bluetooth device I want to keep it in the glove box. But what are my options? Please includes links/prices if you can.
Many thanks,
Jason
