If they identify as a toaster does that mean they popped up to the police station to admit it, or was it forced out of them after a grilling? :D

By now they must be completely browned off.

Perhaps but then life doesn’t come easy on a plate, sometimes you just have deal with the crumbs and not the cream...

Well I don’t like jams so I’m having a toast to not being in one...I went all the way home like a hot knife through butter.

You win!

Thought you might like to see current Yorkshire Police Speeding penalty advice - printed on their correspondence.
( Not me this time - wife dropping her 93yr old dad back home)

It has changed since I was unofficially quoted Speed limit +10% +2mph. 70+7+2 =79mph to be eligible for a course.
This is now the prosecution threshold.
Probably due to the lack of course availability but here vit is in black and white.

NO WAY!!!

I was clocked by a camera van in 2015 situated behind the 70mph limit signs pointing into the 50mph limit at 61mph... was told not eligible as over 10mph, cheers fella

Will certainly keep for future reference!

Usually the tolerance is 10% of the limit plus 2mph.
A lot of the new cameras especially on "Smart" motorways are on the nearside post of the gantry. If you spot one then usually they are every 3rd post after that.

I wouldn't rely on them being every 3 gantries.

They finished ruining the M3 down here a few years ago - oops I meant making it "SMART" - and there are just as many cameras on their own post between the gantries as there are mounted on gantries. Income generation optimisation presumably.

No motorways in Norfolk!! :D

It wasn't a Smart camera it was a van on a bridge. As I said already yes limit +10%+2 was what I was led to believe previously but that is now the prosecution threshold - also in the letter - at least for North Yorkshire.
I was just sharing a Yorkshire police letter that came with the notice of prosecution. Speed is a personal matter.

The prosecution threshold has been 10% +2 for many years as per the guidelines issued years ago. It was not the safe speed limit but the value on which the prosecution starts.

On the “smart” motorways I always run on cruise now at 78

I don’t think we’ve even got any dual carriageways in Argyll and Bute
Ok, but it is not England. :)

And has many spectacular driving roads so I’m quite happy where I am...........most of the time

I bet. I haven't been that far north. I don't envy the winter though - and we lived in Canada for a while. :)
