Since September I make two trips per every other weekend to Barnard Castle from Derbyshire, 120 miles each way, so 480 miles a weekend, join the M1 at Chesterfield and then A66 after Leeds. There are cameras on a lot of the M1, the A66 none static but lots of sneaky camera vans, so in a nutshell it’s best to set cruise to 72 at Chesterfield and leave it until Scotch corner, some 100 miles and just go with it, which I do. I did the same today, no difference. On the way back in the dark I got to the M1, traffic very light for a Friday on the M1, cruised up to a line of middle lane hogging retards doing high 60’s that simply ignore the inside lane despite the next HGV being 560 miles away in front.... :roll: Pulled into the outside lane and cruised past slowly still at 72mph, then some guy came up my back end, not being a dick to be fair, but I was holding him up obvs so for no more than 20 seconds I sped up to 78 to get past the last few middle lane window lickers to let him past.....yep, two white flashes on a gantry, the car hadn’t picked up these cameras, must be very new ones, so for just 20 seconds of speeding on the the whole trip I get done..... :roll:

I was thinking in quick succession, as I thought they flashed twice for one case! I'm sure that's what I've seen before.
Ahhhhhh.....well tbh I went on one last year Zebedee, another one off slip up. Went to put £30 fuel in a car I was selling that day at a fuel station in the next village 2 miles away, I was daydreaming and got done 35 in a 30 through our village on a Sunday morning by a camera van that hasn’t been there for months on end. :roll:
