It's my Dalmatians (rip) name. :)

I'd definitely not buy a new car without xenons.

The new boxster has what look like 3 LED dots as a xenon not to sure if they are the new xenon type light. But they are really lovely.

Ok, so went to Porsche today to go and view my car, and it turns out the car transferred to prep last night so the driver went all the way to Hatfield and it was actually in Reading. So no car....BUT I found out today, and are you ready for this.....

THE CAR DOES NOT HAVE XENON LIGHTS!!

What on earth is all that about....it has £11000 worth of extras but they left off the Xenons......now what on earth do I do??

I am going to look at the car tomorrow after it's back, and will try and decide. It's spoilt by the fact that the new 981's have LED driving lights....

:headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

oh those horrible luxury problems... don't you just hate those?

Yup Bing and PVR win their £. Car came to the dealer on Tuesday and I didn't like the lights when it was in the showroom. Also the price I was going to pay, there is a dealer contribution on a new one which won't make it much more expensive, so new one is on the horizon. Not ordered anything yet but left my deposit with them, I have spent hours on the configuration already.....decided 3.4 S but not whether to go for Boxster or Cayman. White or Agate Grey.

Options I want

Bose
Sports Electric Seats
Sports Exhaust
Colour Coding
Keyless
Coloured key haha
Headlight washer
TV
PCM Navigation
PDK Gearbox
Folding Mirrors
20 Satin Coloured wheels
Factory Collection

£62,000 on a Cayman

And yes that's M4 Money

Factory collection available? It was not when I ordered mine.

Headlight washer standard on Xenon anyway.

The LED interior package is nice - I ordered that as well. I am not seeing heated seats ...

Mrs B will be delighted with the new dust pan and brush I can buy her from the £1 shop

Yes PVR heated seats, and the washer lights are contrast coloured. I looked at the LED lights, wasn't sure.....

And yes factory collection is an option. You still pay delivery but you get a flight and one nights hotel stay too,

Someone from the forum said they would come with me if I went and picked up the car 8)

And their voice hasn't broken either haha

Have you seen the details of the facelifted model out next year.Nothing annoys me more than buying a new car and finding a face lift on the cards.Factory collection is fabulous.Ive done it twice, and still talk about it.Worth every penny.

Rhys thanks for the heads up, yes that would worry me.....would that apply to the Cayman too, even though it's only been out less than a year.

The factory collection seems such a great thing to do.....glad you enjoyed it.

What cars did you do it with? I think Mercedes do it, and I am sure I have seen some Americans do it with BMW too....

I don't blame you stark. There's something that adds to turning the car on and seeing the white/blue light blip up and down before take off. Make a car look much more special at night.

They are changing the engines and minor other things so I would think it would apply to the Cayman.Yes I did It with Mercedes, both times.

Nice plan Stark - its a great car (the new boxster/cayman are meant to be some of the best cars on the road), can't say i'd spend that money on it - but i'm not really a 'new car person', probably throw 60k towards a 997 Turbo if i wanted a porker..

for example.
