I might have a go at painting them, To remove them I belive you just pull them up and out at the same time, Is this correct ?, Does any one no if you can spilt the chrome part from the black part once removed ?, Thanks Tim.

Yes, the OEM ones can be split. I used Pastidip on mine, has lasted for over 6 months, no chips, tears or wear, and an easy top over/removal if required.

Yep, pull out from a top corner to release one clip, then release them all the way round.

Hold the slats. Push up hard and then pivot the bottom out
