Bimmerfest 2 May 09! Santa Barbara, Ca

Well, as we speak, my z4 is at the dealership for service - a front right wheel bearing seems to have started wearing out ... they are working on it and I am optimistic it'll be done today. Luckily I am under warranty My backup plan is for wifie and I to take her 5 series tomorrow if my zed is not back. Bob, how far behind the pack of Z's do we have to drive? It is still a bimmer remember,...

Chuck, we in the Z world call those type of cars running with us as .....BAIT. Runs at the front of the line and if we pass it they buy dinner for who ever shows. :roll: Double edged sword there my friend.

Well, the good news is I have my zed back - new front rotors pads and all the extras. Great news is it's under warranty so essentially I got a free car wash - and a new brake job.

There is a weather update posted on Bimmerfest.com. Seems that the weather prediction is a turnin for the better for tomorrow!!!

Had a great time at Bimmerfest on Saturday, outside of my tire complications. The filming event at the high school was an experience that was great to be part of....

We had a wonderful day. We had a bit of moisture on the way there, more like a heavy dew on the windshield along the coast. Arriving at the venue tring to enter as agroup got foiled by the CHP and stop signs and traffic. We got spread all over the venue, no good dead goes unpunished. The day was beautiful and had a slight breeze all day. There was a film crew around all day. Many of us got notes left on our cars asking us to attend a film crew at a local HS at 3:30. They were looking for roadsters, however we all went over to specatate and they ended up using us all.

It was really nice to meet up with the group at the end of the show, and participate in the photo session at the High School afterwards. Nice People, Nice Cars, Nice Time.

It was nice down in Santa Barbara. Then we had to go back home to the middle of the Central Valley.

Very nice to meet you. I had tons of fun meeting people that came from all over. We try to have fun, even if we laugh at one and another once ands a while. The cars are the common thing that brings us together, however the owners and drivers make the meets worth while.
