Brings to mind a little AC Ace that landed in America & became one of the most recognized sports car in the world ...

I used to love Ice Blue over White on a Healey 3000 but so did everyone else and its one of those colour schemes thats been overdone in my opinion, through the 90's ans 00's every show had another blue/white car arrive. I was recently on a tour and followed an all red 3000....that really looked the part.
Beautiful looking car but not a great handling thing, very heavy front end and understeered like a pig.

As for a classic straight 6 sound,,,My TR has a stainless 6 branch manifold....6-3-1 going into a 2 inch pipe straight to the back transverse twin exit box, add to that the induction sound on the early lucas injection plenum...it's the sound of an era....moderns just cant sound the same.

Thats what my next car is going to be......they exchange hands for much, much more dosh then the Stag!
My niece's hushand is going to buy my Stag. TR6 next, but cannot decide on the colour.
Any opinions?
BRG, Sapphire, Deft blue, Carmine, Signal Red, or Russett?

Mine is Pimento, just love it.

We envy you guys who get to have a 'good' TR6. The ones they shipped to North America were only a couple of BHP off the TR4A and TR250 (your TR5) and the performance was pretty limp.

A friend I raced with brought over a TR6 PI and there was a world of difference. And darned cagey of the Lucas boys to get Maserati to pay for sorting out the PI system before they used it in a British car!

Kinger, I see you have done the double bonnet opening catch mod.
Done the same to the Stag. Once the cable breaks, its very hard to open the bonnet.

There is a good thread dealing with this issue if you ever get stuck look at #27.

Yeah, anything with double bonnet catches is going to have an issue some day. I drilled a small hole in each mechanism and dropped a small diameter woven steel wire down behind the side vents on the front of my Jensen Interceptor and that saved the day when it eventually happened. Couldn't do that on the Lamborghini and ended up just using the catch on one side where I could drop a safety pull. I've seen more than a few grilles buggered up when people had to pry their way through them to get the bonnet open.
